Depression can make the world feel like a dark and lonely place. We often feel so low that it is hard to get on with life, it takes away our confidence and our ability to remain positive about things. 
This feeling of depression was a valuable evolutionary tool for our ancestors. When it was snowing outside our cave or we were faced with danger, the safest thing to do would be to go back in to our cave and pull the rug over our head until the situation had changed. This was perfect back then, but these days although our lives have certainly changed, we can be left with the same feelings inside. It is due to the feel good chemicals in our brain coming to a virtual stand still, great for slowing down and surviving the winter not so good for facing the day ahead. 


Solution Focused Hypnotherapy will help get those chemicals back to where they should be. We will start by getting you in for an initial consultation, here we will talk about what depression is, how it is caused, and of course what we can do to get you back on track. This will be very helpful in itself, often we feel alone and that there is no hope, the initial consultation will show you that there are ways to beat depression. 
We will talk through the brain and those all important chemicals, how they used to be created and what we can do today to do the same. You will leave the room with hope, you are not alone, life can and will get better again. 


Positivity as you read this may seem a long way off, but soon in to the sessions you will find that positive thought becomes easier and easier. Sessions are weekly to start with, very soon you will start to see the effects of the treatment. 
We will get your sleeping patterns sorted and get you concentrating on the positive things you have in your life, and week by week this will become easier. We may be looking at somewhere between 8-12 sessions to help with depression, in just a few short months we could see the real you again!
